Happy Birthday, Mom

Posted on June 23, 2004. Filed under: Family | Tags: , |

I’ve known Mom since I was very young…. er….

I had planned to take Mom out to dinner on Sunday – her birthday is today, but being the only child in town, I can maintain my “most favored oldest child” status by taking her out a few days late. Bro and Sis are too far out of town to take her out.

Imagine my surprise when my sister answers the phone over there – she’s driven into town. Without notifying me. To take Mom out to dinner. *ON* her birthday.

She’s such a sneaky dog. I had to take off work early just to join them. My little sister is devious that way.
:P

both of y’all cheat!
I had to work late so all I get to do is call her. And it will be a day late. :(
*note to self*
pre plan next year!!!!!

I bet your mom is loving still having all her children fighting for attention! LOL :)

Yup, we cheated. Out of luck, bro. :P

We pretend-fight over who mom loves best. A few years ago, I remember sitting on the sofa saying, “Mom likes be best” and my sister saying, “Here’s mom, let’s ask her. Who do you like best, Mom?”

She said, “Actually, I don’t like either one of you. I like Stephen best.” :P
