Dancin' Donna, The Next Day

Posted on August 13, 2004. Filed under: Stories | Tags: , |

I had fun last night. We danced for about 3 hours, though I had an impression ahead of time that she was an excellent dancer. I’d say “enthusiastic” dancer would better describe her, and she was quick learner. By the end of the night I was able to lead her through some spins. I had to be careful – she wore shoes without backs, clog-like shoes, that was barely better than dancing barefoot. I spun her out of her shoes twice.

I watched some of the more accomplished dancers, and I briefly thought about joining a dance group again… then decided against it. I can’t stay up that late, they don’t really get started until after 10pm.

I don’t think I’ll do that again anytime soon, but it was fun to put the boots on again.
