Santa Versus the Snowman
Posted by Michael on November 29th, 2004 filed in FaithSee if you can find the “Christ” in this Christmas movie:
Santa v. the Snowman
Santa vs. the Snowman follows a lonely snowman on his quest for friendship. Mesmerized by the magic of Santa’s village, the Snowman devises a plan to take over Santa’s job and win the adoration of children around the world. What ensues is a polar feud of hilarious proportions, where giant igloo robot walkers and elves with hot chocolate squirt guns battle it out. Ultimately, friendship reigns supreme and audiences of all ages are rewarded with a heart-melting holiday film.
Instead of giant igloo robot walkers, I celebrated the first week of Advent this Sunday. We discussed how Christians prepare for the arrival of Christ in the past, present, and future. A polar feud of hilarious proportions was not included in the discussion.

Baptists and advent? It’s changed a bit from my old Baptist church, or maybe I was asleep in the pew.

I wouldn’t know if you were asleep. I also wouldn’t know if Baptists normally do Advent. I’ve never been Baptist before.

So I guess Rudolph and Frosty are out of the picture as well?

Yep, Rudolph and Frosty are gone. Incidently, I’m having venison and ice cream for dinner.

I never did like Frosty, unless he’s the kind that came from Wendy’s.
