Microsoft Virus

Posted on January 6, 2005. Filed under: Technical | Tags: , |

Microsoft has plans to offer a virus removal tool for sale later this year to compete with Norton and McAfee. For now, you can get a free virus removal tool from the main Microsoft website, www.microsoft.com.

What a fantastic idea. First, sell a product prone to viruses (virii?). Then sell a tool to remove the virus. Sort of like going to grocery store and the store manager punches you, and you have to pay him to stop punching you before you can buy your groceries.

Interesting analogy …. yet so very true.

Question for you: would you buy an anti-virus software from Microsoft, the same people that allowed the virus in the first place?
