Good Links

Good links for today:

  • OpinionJournal compares the federal government’s 1999 “Good Friday” midnight snatch of Elian Gonzales in order to send him back to Cuba with the current restraint being show in the Terri Schiavo case, even though in both cases the appeals courts ruled against the government.
  • Kofi Annan is “depressed” over scandals at the United Nations and thinking about stepping down. Good.
  • Americans have volunteered for the Minuteman Project by the hundreds to do what the US government should be doing along along: patrolling our borders. The Mara Salvatrucha (MS-13) Central American gang who make a lot of money smuggling illegal immigrants into the US plan to target Minutemen volunteers to “teach them a lesson.”

I hope the minutemen volunteers know what they’re getting into. Border Patrol is one of the most dangerous jobs in the country.
