What’s it do? A thousand little things, you get to choose. I was looking for a hurricane tracker for Diane and found it. Control your TIVO from the web, Display traffic jams, a pharmacy of drug information, baseball scores for your favorite team, monitor all state lottery games, play Minesweeper, display RSS News feeds…. whew.
Whenever you want a tiny little window with unique information, somebody’s probably developed a widget for you. Yes, even a countdown clock for the release of the movie Serenity. There are a thousand of these little specialized applications.
