Harriet Miers Withdraws
Finally. As much as I like Harriet Miers as a person of good character, I want a rock-solid conservative judicial nominee for the Supreme Court. Harriet Miers has withdrawn her name for consideration. President Bush, if you’re going to pick another fight, why not fight the opposition instead of your own base?

Far Left: Al Franken is laughing it up, I suppose. Nobody else is, because he’s not funny. He’s promoting his new book on Amazon with a video clip showing how good it feels to kick a conservative between the legs. Michelle Malkin has video stills and here is the video clip. Basically, he questions a [...]

The Angry Left was disappointed this week as the US casualty toll was stuck at 1996 deaths. They seem eager to party once we reach the magical 2000 deaths. Man, they are a morbid bunch.

An Elmo impersonator was arrested in Hollywood yesterday. Must have been traumatic for children nearby to see a Sesame Street character led away in handcuffs. I love to read about people who take yet another step of sanctification and realize something about themselves needs to change. I’ll be working on the same thing for, oh, the rest of my life. The Bible says that Satan is the [...]

Our church, Second Baptist, just continues to amaze me. I had such a good time last night – when the Astros made the World Series, the church opened the gym, hung a 30 foot screen on the wall and showed the game live. And instead of commercials, they were muted and we were treated instead [...]
