The Federal Trade Commission says that the CAN-SPAM legislation passed in 2003 is effective at fighting spam.

The Federal Trade Commission said on Tuesday that the CAN-SPAM Act has worked, and was effective in protecting consumers from unsolicited e-mail. The agency publicly released a report at a press conference in Washington that studied the effectiveness of the law.

Hahah. FTC apparently has no clue. I have 1384 pieces of spam in the last 30 days. That’s nearly 50 pieces of spam every day. Does that sound effective to you?
