Texas Primary Recommendations
Posted by Michael on February 9th, 2006 filed in PoliticsCLOUT has made their recommendations for the Texas primary on March 7, and I agree with them. Here’s a summary:
- Vote for Dan Patrick. He’s been leading the tax reform movement for years as a citizen, and rebuffed every time by Fred Hill and his ilk. Now Dan has decided that if he can’t get results as a citizen, then he’ll join the senate and do it himself.
- Do not vote for David Dewhurst. Dewhurst has had the power to push through tax reform but he’s sat on his hands. He’s running unopposed in the primary, so he’ll still win, but perhaps a low number of votes with show that he’s lost the confidence of the people and return to leading as a conservative.
