Leilani, why do you think "God's soverignty has reign" only in the United States? If they indeed have come to know Christ, then following the Word of God should be no problem. Titus 3:1 tell believers that we are to "to be subject to rulers, to authorities, to be obedient, to be ready for every good deed." If they choose to then to disobey the law, are they then also showing the shallowness of their faith, for God to be with them regardless of their location?

Your admonish Americans to rejoice even "if our job opportunities are bleak." Should not that admonishment be addressed to the illegal alien to obey the law and return home, even if his job opportunities are bleak?

What if an assumed person came to know Christ in America, with the freedom to find HIm, would not God's sovereignty have reign, would He not have the glory despite...legalities that are made and upheld by men...men whom are sinful Romans 5:8. Why focus on such immigrants?? Are they breaking the law anymore than another person who runs a red light or speeds beyond 25mph in a residential zone? I don't see how such residents looking for hope, for a better life, are really affecting you, and your spiritual life, for your hope and your assurance is in Christ, as is mine. We need not worry about such petty things...Phillipians 4:6 think about such good things of the Lord. Let the people stay. Let the alien stay as they did in Israel, let the cities of refuge remain for the accidental murderer (in reference to Numbers). It won't make us discomfortable in the least bit, for wherever we go, we have Christ our eternal joy. Doesn't matter if our job opportunities are bleak...in all things rejoice in Him. Doesn't matter if there isn't bread on the table...rejoice in HIm. Job...that was a good reference point. May grace, peace, and love follow you.

Jo and Aunt Bobbie - Thanks for reading, I think it\'s important to share these experiences.

Leilani - your question is highly complex and worded insincerely. A Christian is called to obedience to both pastoral leaders and civic leaders as long as they are not asked to disobey their faith. Why would a devout Christian be breaking the laws and entering another country illegally?

You can put \"illegally\" in scare quotes but it\'s still illegal. And a sincere faith in God does not guarantee blessings in this world; see the book of Job and Christ\'s own crucifixion for examples. God does not buy love and obedience with possessions.

Q: if one of these people, if one of those children sitting on the laps of others could have a better life in the wealthy nation of the U.S. but they migrated there "illegally" is it right to send them back?? B/C they have prayer, they have God they are fit to live in such impoverished dwellings? If you had the decision and the "say-so" would you deport all these people back to the villages they were from in Africa...assuming they had ventured to America for better living conditions and opportunities??
