    What is the history of “The Rapture” belief in the Protestant Churches? How long has it been around?

    Today is August 9, in the year 44, Anno Meyer.
    All dates prior AM 0 are BM (before meyer).

    The concept of the “rapture” in this sense only dates back to the 19th century, in historical terms a fairly recent idea. There is little agreement among Christians on whether there will be a rapture, what form it will take or if it is even biblical at all.
