Exquisite

Posted on February 13, 2007. Filed under: Fun Stuff | Tags: |

The other day I was feeling a little under the weather. Nothing serious, just a bit of uncomfortable sinus pressure and a headache. But today, I feel find. Exquisite, even. Which made me wonder if today I’m ex-squisite, was I squisite yesterday?

Everylumberjack.com

Good friends that work for Campus Crusade for Christ have put up a new website I’d like to recommend. While the intended audience for their site are the students of Stephen F. Austin University, there are good basic fundamental questions and answers there. Visit Everylumberjack.com and look around. I’ve also added a link to their [...]

On a Christian forum website I regularly read, one of the Christians had posted some sad news. He had participated regularly with a Christian Missionary organization called Honduras Outreach. This week in a remote mountain village in Honduras, their vehicle was in an accident in rugged terrain. There were 28 adults from four church groups [...]

Old Testament Laws

Posted on February 10, 2007. Filed under: Faith | Tags: , , , , , , , , , |

Do we know which Old Testament Laws apply to Christians? It’s a good question. We know the legalistic rules no longer apply – I was just reading 1 Corinthians 7:17-20 today while studying how we are to bloom where we are planted, and Paul is clear that “Keeping God’s commands is what counts” but he [...]

God is in the Big Things, God is in the Small Things

Astronaut Spaced Out

Posted on February 6, 2007. Filed under: News | Tags: , , , |

What fascinates me about this case is that I like to think astronauts are well-trained, disciplined, logical. Donning a wig, trench coat, and diapers in order to mug someone doesn’t fit my perception of how an astronaut should behave. NASA astronaut Lisa Marie Nowak was charged with attempting to kidnap another woman, and that just [...]

Punxsutawney Phil is a Failure

Posted on February 2, 2007. Filed under: Fun Stuff, News |

It’s all over the news today. Groundhog Day, 2007. Punxsutawney Phil fails to see his shadow. I think that’s sad – not only is he a failure – he failed to see his shadow this morning – but the whole world knows it. It’s plastered all over the news. Can’t we give the little fuzzy [...]
