Degooglized

Posted by Michael on March 3rd, 2007 filed in The Blog

None of my posts are listed on Google anymore. Only 10 static pages can be found, but since those pages are there, Google knows that Chasing the Wind exists, but Google’s not listing any of my posts. They *used* to, but they don’t anymore.

Moreover, they show exactly -0- sites linking to Chasing the Wind. I know that’s not true. A simple check at Technorati, Yahoo, or Alexa shows over 12,000 incoming links (a lot of them Blogrolling links).

So apparently I’ve been delisted, deindexed. Google deleted me. I don’t know why, and I don’t know how to find out. Google doesn’t seem to make any sort of “tech support” email or phone number available.

Any suggestions?

  1. Jerald Sheets Says:

Word on the street is that Google is separating blogs out from the standard searches into a blog-specific search engine.

    We shall see.

  2. Michael Says:

Why would they do that? To separate “real” news from opinion? Who gets to decide that, Google? Bah.
