Chasing the Wind

News. Faith. Nonsense.

I Don't Expect You to Agree with Me…

But if you don’t, why are you here? There are much easier places you can get your point across, and enjoy your time with like-minded people.

I bring this up because of the comments on this post. Read the comments here.

In other news, I’ve semi-decorated all the beds needed for tomorrow night, and it turns out I don’t have to buy new bedding after all. A king bed, a double bed, a fouton, a sofa-bed, 3 sleeping bags and a pallet will sleep everybody. I even have enough pillows to go around.

Graduation for my nephew is tonight, but I can’t make it because it’s a 5 hour drive there and another 5 hours back, and my son’s graduation is Saturday morning at 10:00am. So I’m taking everybody out to dinner at Pappadeaux Saturday night for a graduation dinner instead. I will be cooking pancakes and waffles with fruit for Sunday morning. Sandwiches and snacks for everything in between. Off to buy groceries. 🙂

And Patch is at the groomer’s getting all foo-foo’d for the weekend. I’m still film, not digital, so it’ll take me a little time before I have photos up of the graduation and family gathering.

About Me

Michael, a sinner saved by grace, sharing what the good Lord has shared with me.

Solomon, in the book of Ecclesiastes, said, “I have seen all the things that are done under the sun; all of them are meaningless, a chasing after the wind.”

If you’re not living for the glory of God, then what you’re doing is meaningless, no matter what it is. Living for God gives life meaning, and enjoying a “chasing after the wind” is a gift from God. I’m doing what I can to enjoy this gift daily.

Got questions? I’m not surprised. If you have any questions about Chasing the Wind, you can email me at chasingthewind@outlook.com.
