Chasing the Wind

Warning About Disturbing Topics Today –

I have the following phrases I plan on using later today:

  • brightly colored mushroom clouds;
  • sex with a tarantula.
  • John Kerry

It’s good to plan ahead, but if these phrases disturb you, you may wish to come back tomorrow.

This morning I heard pessimism described as “being seasick throughout the entire voyage of life.” I’m sure I do my share of complaining from time to time, but I’m unaware when I do it. If I do, feel free to call me a grouch so I can sing a happy tune instead. I am thankful for so many things, but sometimes I forget to remember. 🙂

I was going to sing a happy tune about the upcoming conversion to WordPress, but something’s broke this morning. http://www.chasingthewind.net/wordpress should be up and running, but I get a “cannot find server” error. My happy tune will be delayed until after I talk to tech support and see if the problem is on my end.

Solomon, in the book of Ecclesiastes, said, “I have seen all the things that are done under the sun; all of them are meaningless, a chasing after the wind.”

If you’re not living for the glory of God, then what you’re doing is meaningless, no matter what it is. Living for God gives life meaning, and enjoying a “chasing after the wind” is a gift from God. I’m doing what I can to enjoy this gift daily.
