Chasing the Wind

News. Faith. Nonsense.

LA Times – The Michael Moore of Newspapers

The LA Times is reporting that “Democrat John Kerry has a solid lead over President Bush among voters nationwide.”

Never fear, brave conservatives. The LA Times is the same band of monkeys that attempted to sabotage Arnold Schwarzenegger’s campaign that he groped some unidentified women 25 years ago. Those accusations were never proven, and even if they were true, the LA Times held on to that information until 3 days before the election so that the Arnold wouldn’t have any time to review the accusations and respond. In otherwords, an unfounded, last minute partisan bombshell.

Ann Coulter recently noted that “John S. Carroll, editor of the Los Angeles Times, delivered a lecture during “Ethics Week” of the Society of Professional Journalists. The speaker has not yet been announced for “Abstinence Week” of the Society of Professional Whores.” A cynical person might think a respected conservative journalist like Ann Coulter has a poor opinion of the LA Times.

In a recent Wall Street Journal article, Fox News Chairman Roger Ailes says that the LA Times editor John Carroll is “pathetic” and “obviously [does] not feel particularly restricted by facts, truth or sources.” In other words, he’s a liar.

Even the Bush campaign headquarters says the numbers are phony.

Bush campaign strategist Matthew Dowd challenged the poll results as tilted in favor of the Democrats. “It is a mess,” he told ABC News. “Bush is leading independents by three, ahead among Republicans by a larger margin than Kerry is ahead among Dems, and we are down by seven? Outrageous.”

So take heart, conservatives. I’d love to see who the LA Times interviewed (1200 San Franciscans?) and what questions they asked (Do you think Kerry will win in the Fall if unopposed?). All indications are that the LA Times floated a biased poll and then published it everywhere.

About Me

Michael, a sinner saved by grace, sharing what the good Lord has shared with me.

Solomon, in the book of Ecclesiastes, said, “I have seen all the things that are done under the sun; all of them are meaningless, a chasing after the wind.”

If you’re not living for the glory of God, then what you’re doing is meaningless, no matter what it is. Living for God gives life meaning, and enjoying a “chasing after the wind” is a gift from God. I’m doing what I can to enjoy this gift daily.

Got questions? I’m not surprised. If you have any questions about Chasing the Wind, you can email me at chasingthewind@outlook.com.
