Chasing the Wind

News. Faith. Nonsense.

Out & About Today

I’m going to head over to the Houston Camera Exchange and see if they’ll take my old Minolta Maxxum 400si film camera and exchange it for a fancy schmancy digital one. The old camera is fine, but film is rapidly becoming archaic. I only bought the Minolta in 1997 and it was fancy schmancy at the time. But the last couple of times I took photos, I didn’t even bother getting photos printed, I just got the CD-ROM. I might as well go digital.

The earlier the better since I’ll have to charge the new batteries. Tonight my longtime friend Patty’s getting married to my future golf partner. I’ll need a camera… and some Kleenex. She’s waited a very long time, and Rick is a very nice guy. They’ll be very happy together, you can just tell by looking at them.

I noticed that a couple of people started searching for “John Kerry the Pastamancer” last night just to see if I was telling the truth. You people are funny. 😛 Here are some other searches that led people here this last week:

  • mechanical investing
  • healey sexist kerry
  • wind and water eulogies
  • blogging jehovahs witness
  • john kerry the pastamancer
  • anadarko tarantula
  • ben stein happy bush country
  • first horizon national bank

About Me

Michael, a sinner saved by grace, sharing what the good Lord has shared with me.

Solomon, in the book of Ecclesiastes, said, “I have seen all the things that are done under the sun; all of them are meaningless, a chasing after the wind.”

If you’re not living for the glory of God, then what you’re doing is meaningless, no matter what it is. Living for God gives life meaning, and enjoying a “chasing after the wind” is a gift from God. I’m doing what I can to enjoy this gift daily.

Got questions? I’m not surprised. If you have any questions about Chasing the Wind, you can email me at chasingthewind@outlook.com.
