Guess the Connection

A) House of Lords member Norman Tebbit told a radio interviewer in May that homosexuality in Britain is “intimately connected” to the rise in obesity.

B) Florida state legislative candidate Ed Heeney told a Palm Beach County political meeting in May that homosexuality has made it difficult for him to enjoy his pastime of billiards.

No peeking; answers are below.

A) Tebbit’s explanation: The breakdown of the family means fewer family meals and more fast-food meals.

B) Heeney’s explanation: “You have a situation where the lesbian community is buying restaurants and bars (and removing the pool tables).”

Well… I can stretch logic a long way. I don’t think I stretch it *that* far though. Found at Chuck Shephard’s News of the Weird.

    🙂 The original article by Anthony Man was much more accurate than the subsequent recopies. By the way, I won all three of my matches in the tournament with the lesbian team and the overall team won the scheduled tournament. P.S. Sorry, your candidate lost locally for U.S. House of Reps. and Prez, nationally. Sometimes, your purpose is greater than your own goals. Ed Heeney

    My representative? All my candidates were Republican and they all won handily this week. 🙂
