Friday!

A relaxing weekend is almost here – I ain’t got nuttin’ on the agenda for this weekend. I might go C&W dancing, I might catch a movie, I might scan some photos, I have no idea yet what I’m going to do.

Sunday afternoon I’ll spend some time with my son and Mapquest. He has college orientation Monday and Tuesday, and I’ve decided not to accompany him, he’s entirely on his own. I’m nervous about his trip – it’s a 2 hours trip and he’s never driven that far by himself. It’s time for Dad to cut another string though. I’m running out of strings.

I could just sit here at my monitor and stare at all of you. As you can see, I’m still an Adorable Little Rodent:

Solomon, in the book of Ecclesiastes, said, “I have seen all the things that are done under the sun; all of them are meaningless, a chasing after the wind.”

If you’re not living for the glory of God, then what you’re doing is meaningless, no matter what it is. Living for God gives life meaning, and enjoying a “chasing after the wind” is a gift from God. I’m doing what I can to enjoy this gift daily.
