Utilikilt

Nope. Not gonna happen.

At least, I don’t think it’s ever gonna happen. Unless somebody dares me. Or double dog dares me.

Fringe benefits:
A. Physical: Your virility may increase. You will experience the pleasing sensation of air conditioning.
B. Mental: Wearing a kilt shows a sense of security with yourself, and you will inspire much debate in others.
C. Spiritual: Without physical constrictions, you burden will be lighter, your sense of freedom less impaired, and your sense of yourself, will have room to grow.

Heh. Room to grow. Heh… I mean NO! Not gonna happen.

Especially at a C&W bar.

    I double, dog, dare you… and I’ve *worn* a kilt so I have the moral high ground on this one.

    I’ve worn a kilt as well. Technically it was labeled a pleated skirt, but it’s the same as a kilt.

    But not at the C&W bar please. Maybe downtown, but no C&W.

    Well, I can’t comment, seeing as how I’ve always been a might partial to men in kilts. As long as they weren’t also wearing sandals and black dress socks.

    I’ve had and worn the Utilikilt for years (as well as a traditional kilt & jacket in my work for the local St.Andrews Society) I wore one the first day I had it to watch the Dallas Stars in the Stanley Cup in, you guessed it, a C&W bar in Dallas. The men were standoffish which suited my purposes perfectly as the local distaff did enjoy my staff, or at least the accessibility of same.
    Wear your Utilikilt… wear it proud. It’ll show you have balls even if no one picks up the hem.

    I’ve worn mine to C&W bars and clubs several times, and more Country concerts than I can remember. Never got a negative comment but I always got positive ones. In fact at the most recent bar experience I wound up handing out about 4 cards to some seriously interested cowboys.

    Now hows this for irony. Guy in a kilt gets flack from a guy in a darkened club wearing a hat designed to shade his eyes from the noonday sun, while wearing boots designed to slip into stirrups.

    I just bought 2 utilikilts, and I love it. It has been a little warm in Seattle lately, and my boys love the freedom, but the cool air blowing in the shade is a delight.
    I wear both of mine to work. One is the denim cut, and the other is the black khaki style. I have had nothing but positive interest in the hospital I work at. I recommend them to all you guys out there.

Solomon, in the book of Ecclesiastes, said, “I have seen all the things that are done under the sun; all of them are meaningless, a chasing after the wind.”
