Chasing the Wind

News. Faith. Nonsense.

Maybe It's a Black Pen

INDC Journal, who raised the question about what John Kerry is removing from his pocket, reports that Fox News has reviewed several versions of the debate tape.

“What he takes out of his pocket … I’m almost 99% sure that it’s a pen. It’s a black, oblong object,” a FOX News producer told INDC Journal.

Whatever it was, it was against the rules, but if it’s a black pen, nobody’s going to really care that Kerry broke the rules.

It doesn’t look like a black pen to me.

Update: Fox News had a different camera angle:

  1. What is that thing in his hand? It can’t be a pen…it just can’t! Who ever heard of a small, black, pen-shaped pen? It must be a super secret cheating device packed full of liberal spin and flawed logic! Maybe its a live feed, direct from Michael Moore and Fidel Castro! It can’t be a pen! Either way, Kerry should be evicted from the presidential race and George Bush should just be declared winner of the election by default. Case closed!

About Me

Michael, a sinner saved by grace, sharing what the good Lord has shared with me.

Solomon, in the book of Ecclesiastes, said, “I have seen all the things that are done under the sun; all of them are meaningless, a chasing after the wind.”

If you’re not living for the glory of God, then what you’re doing is meaningless, no matter what it is. Living for God gives life meaning, and enjoying a “chasing after the wind” is a gift from God. I’m doing what I can to enjoy this gift daily.

Got questions? I’m not surprised. If you have any questions about Chasing the Wind, you can email me at chasingthewind@outlook.com.

    I.             Icebreaker — Stories of Reconciliation Before we turn to Nehemiah, let me connect us to where we’ve been the past couple of weeks. Two weeks ago, Tommy used home renovation shows—things like Property Brothers—to help us think about rebuilding. That fit Nehemiah well, because Nehemiah quite literally asks the king for permission to rebuild… Read more: Confession, Reconciliation, Celebration
