Chasing the Wind

News. Faith. Nonsense.

Bork! Bork! Bork!

Yes, Chasing the Wind is borked. Or munged. I don’t know what the right word for it. Wait, Swedish Chef says “bork” was the right word.
Bork Bork Bork!
I really don’t know what the problem is; the bad thing is (even with the expert help from Podz over at the WordPress forum) nobody else seems to know what the problem is either. If I login, everything works fine for an hour or so… then the formatting disappears and comments don’t work.

One possibility is the server I’m hosted on at GoDaddy. If it is, then it’ll stay broken forever. The tech geeks over there don’t speak blog, and I don’t speak their Klingon Orangutan. So the fix is to move.

I’m moving over to Blogs-About who hosts a lot of other WordPress blogs. This is not a guarantee of a fix… it’s just a guarantee that I won’t be the only one affected or the only one working on it. While GoDaddy has her price beat on amount of storage and bandwidth, she more than makes up for it by speaking Blog.

Anyway, I’ll change nameservers tonight and it’ll take up to 3 days for all the propogation to take place. You don’t have to change anything on your end, it’ll all be behind the scenes. Lisa from Elegant Webscapes and Just a Girl will also be creating a couple of new skins to make Chasing the Wind look pretty.

Anyway, I’m going to close all the comments here; I’ll pack up the WordPress database and ship it over to Blogs-About where I’ll re-enable comments again. For the next week Chasing the Wind will look sort of plain while Lisa’s working her magic.

If you want to get a headstart, you can use this temporary shortcut to the new home while we all wait for the propogation.

About Me

Michael, a sinner saved by grace, sharing what the good Lord has shared with me.

Solomon, in the book of Ecclesiastes, said, “I have seen all the things that are done under the sun; all of them are meaningless, a chasing after the wind.”

If you’re not living for the glory of God, then what you’re doing is meaningless, no matter what it is. Living for God gives life meaning, and enjoying a “chasing after the wind” is a gift from God. I’m doing what I can to enjoy this gift daily.

Got questions? I’m not surprised. If you have any questions about Chasing the Wind, you can email me at chasingthewind@outlook.com.
