My home page for my browser is My Yahoo, partly because my home internet connection is furnished by a SBC / Yahoo partnership.
I was reading some of the tech stuff behind the Yahoo pages tonight and found this little gem:
Is My Yahoo! becoming a Newsreader?
Yes. A newsreader (sometimes called a news aggregator) is software that periodically polls a specified set of web sites or blogs, pulls the latest headlines, and displays them on a single page. It works a lot like My Yahoo! in gathering together content from all across Yahoo!.
With this beta release of the RSS Headlines module, My Yahoo! becomes a web-based newsreader that can display your choice of syndicated RSS feeds from tens of thousands of sources around the Web.
Whoa…. ever since I’ve discovered RSS feeds, I’ve been trying to find a decent method to read them. I tried Bloglines for a web based reader and Sharpreader, and they’re ok.
But embedding an RSS feed right into my My Yahoo page? Too cool! I started putting some instructions together to tell you how to do it, too… and then found the easiest method yet: A link! Just click on the “My Yahoo” button on the sidebar and Chasing the Wind will get added to your My Yahoo page, too. It’s this little button:

If you don’t know what an RSS feed is, Yahoo has an excellent RSS Frequently Asked Questions page.
