Chasing the Wind

News. Faith. Nonsense.

Election Fraud

There are a lot of news stories about the Democrats challenging poll results in Ohio lately, even though Bush won that state by 118,000 votes. Although I think the Democrats are just doing political grandstanding on the issue and it won’t change anything, making sure the elections are fair is a noble enough cause. Go on, Dems, count them again.

While you’re at it, though, would you mind counting the votes in Wisconsin? The trend in that state (Gore won by 22 points, Kerry by 35 points) contradicts the national trend, and Bush only lost the entire state by 11,384 votes. In the heavily Democratic city of Milwaukee, though, 83,000 people registered on the last day to vote, over 20% of all eligible voters. Over 10,000 of those votes are fake addresses.

Many people are wondering if Bush won Wisconsin after all. I’m sure the Democrats want every eligible vote count and the fake votes thrown out in this state, too. I’m sure of it.

  3. How does one register on the last day to vote?
I thought that was not allowed.

  4. In Wisconsin, walk-up registration is allowed. They then mail your registration card. Or they would, if 10,000 people hadn’t given fake addresses.

About Me

Michael, a sinner saved by grace, sharing what the good Lord has shared with me.

Solomon, in the book of Ecclesiastes, said, “I have seen all the things that are done under the sun; all of them are meaningless, a chasing after the wind.”

If you’re not living for the glory of God, then what you’re doing is meaningless, no matter what it is. Living for God gives life meaning, and enjoying a “chasing after the wind” is a gift from God. I’m doing what I can to enjoy this gift daily.

    I.             Icebreaker — Stories of Reconciliation Before we turn to Nehemiah, let me connect us to where we’ve been the past couple of weeks. Two weeks ago, Tommy used home renovation shows—things like Property Brothers—to help us think about rebuilding. That fit Nehemiah well, because Nehemiah quite literally asks the king for permission to rebuild… Read more: Confession, Reconciliation, Celebration
