Chasing the Wind

News. Faith. Nonsense.

Puppy Needs

A good friend recently told me of the loss of his dog, a long-time family friend. The dog was very old and had developed a tumor; a difficult decision was made to put the dog to sleep.

He’s thinking he needs a new puppy to be his companion, and he’s put a lot of thought into what kind of puppy he wants. Would you join me in praying that he gets a new puppy, especially if your name is Betty?

  1. * Ok, I’ll admit to being bad. Jack told me his wife Betty reads Chasing the Wind so I thought I’d help him out. 😛

  2. I’ll add him to my prayer list. God will find him the best little puppy 😉

  3. We have a few extra barbado sheep here, he can have one of them. Great little lawnmowers and you can eat them when they’re done. 😛

  4. I suspect if Betty doesn’t want Jack to have a puppy, she’ll discourage him from having sheep, too.

About Me

Michael, a sinner saved by grace, sharing what the good Lord has shared with me.

Solomon, in the book of Ecclesiastes, said, “I have seen all the things that are done under the sun; all of them are meaningless, a chasing after the wind.”

If you’re not living for the glory of God, then what you’re doing is meaningless, no matter what it is. Living for God gives life meaning, and enjoying a “chasing after the wind” is a gift from God. I’m doing what I can to enjoy this gift daily.

Got questions? I’m not surprised. If you have any questions about Chasing the Wind, you can email me at chasingthewind@outlook.com.

    I.             Introduction An old friend once told me a story that every married man understands. I.             Icebreaker — Stories of Reconciliation Before we turn to Nehemiah, let me connect us to where we’ve been the past couple of weeks. Two weeks ago, Tommy used home renovation shows—things like Property Brothers—to help us think about rebuilding. That fit Nehemiah well, because Nehemiah quite literally asks the king for permission to rebuild… Read more: Confession, Reconciliation, Celebration
