The Weekend – Rodeo Again

What a wonderful day of hooky yesterday. Diane and I spent the morning at the Bark Park and lets the dogs run, then a picnic lunch that afternoon, a movie at the dollar theater, then Mexican food for dinner and cafe mocha for dessert.

No wonder I didn’t post anything. 😛

Today’s about the same – the dogs are at the groomer, then Diane, Alex and I are off to the rodeo to see Martina McBride and eat greasy carnival food.

I love 3-day weekends. 🙂

    I love my 9/80s. Although I feel obligated to run errands and get stuff done on my 9/80 day instead of just having fun.

    Have fun at the Rodeo – I took The Tay to see Keith Urban on Tues night and then we played hooky on Wednesday and took The Boy to the livestock show. Way cool.

Solomon, in the book of Ecclesiastes, said, “I have seen all the things that are done under the sun; all of them are meaningless, a chasing after the wind.”

If you’re not living for the glory of God, then what you’re doing is meaningless, no matter what it is. Living for God gives life meaning, and enjoying a “chasing after the wind” is a gift from God. I’m doing what I can to enjoy this gift daily.
