Yes! Yes! I Admit It!

Birthday balloons! Since I’ve already received kind birthday wishes here and here, I’ll go ahead and confess: today is my birthday! Last year I wrote some lyrics for the occasion. So far today, I’m not feeling musical, but you never know.

This morning my wife made me chocolate chip pancakes for breakfast. Can life get any better?

    Thanks, Rodney, I had a fabulous birthday weekend. Pancakes, a party, a flat-screen monitor, a walk on the beach, ice cream… my wife set a high standard for making a happy birthday. 🙂

Solomon, in the book of Ecclesiastes, said, “I have seen all the things that are done under the sun; all of them are meaningless, a chasing after the wind.”

If you’re not living for the glory of God, then what you’re doing is meaningless, no matter what it is. Living for God gives life meaning, and enjoying a “chasing after the wind” is a gift from God. I’m doing what I can to enjoy this gift daily.
