I’ve been tagged by Vox. I wish pingbacks worked reliably because I only find out I’ve been tagged if I accidentally stumble across the post. :/

Blogcess 26

1) Do you use an alarm clock to wake up in the morning?

Good golly yes. No way I’d wake up that early if I didn’t have to. I’d sleep till 7:30am if I could. I set it to a local Christian music station KSBJ, but not for the reason you’d think. I absolutely abhor those screaming car salesmen in the morning and KSBJ doesn’t play them. I also never hear the music since I seem to detect the alarm 10 seconds before it actually goes off. (And oddly, I just found out my company blocks access to KSBJ.org.)

2) What time do you set it for?

Workdays it’s set for 5:45am, Sundays at 7:45am. Up and at ’em!

3) Do you hit the snooze button? If so how many times?

I’ve hit the snooze alarm until it refuses to go off anymore, about an hour. Most days I hit it once, some days two or three, depending on how late I went to bed.

4) Have you ever abused an alarm clock?

Alarm clocks are our friend. If I was the clock abusing type, though, I’d get Clocky, developed by MIT students. When it goes off, it rolls off your desk and under your bed.
Clocky! Come out from under that bed, you coward!

5) It’s “time” to spread some “It’s Blogcess” linky love?

    Heh, I need a clock like that. I don’t laugh out loud very often at websites, but I did for that clock. For some reason, I can easily see Clocky running from a faded robe clad old man wielding a newspaper.

Solomon, in the book of Ecclesiastes, said, “I have seen all the things that are done under the sun; all of them are meaningless, a chasing after the wind.”

If you’re not living for the glory of God, then what you’re doing is meaningless, no matter what it is. Living for God gives life meaning, and enjoying a “chasing after the wind” is a gift from God. I’m doing what I can to enjoy this gift daily.
