Chasing the Wind

So I’m getting ready to hang it up for the night – I’ll try to add that Google site search later – when my Launchcast Internet Radio starts playing this icky, horrible song….

I pop over to Launchcast to blip this monstrosity off my radio… and realize it’s William Hung, the rejected Idol contestant. The judge was right – this guy *can’t* sing.

But he already “gave it his best and he has no regrets”… I think instead of blipping him, I’m going to make him a favorite. I’ll rate him 100%. He’s my hero, or at least until I hear that terrible rendition of Y.M.C.A. again. Then I’ll blip him. 🙂

Solomon, in the book of Ecclesiastes, said, “I have seen all the things that are done under the sun; all of them are meaningless, a chasing after the wind.”

If you’re not living for the glory of God, then what you’re doing is meaningless, no matter what it is. Living for God gives life meaning, and enjoying a “chasing after the wind” is a gift from God. I’m doing what I can to enjoy this gift daily.
