For not having anything on the agenda, I was busy all day. I spent the day at Mom’s getting her new Dell laptop up and running with everything installed correctly. Not too many problems except for the wireless network installation – I changed values in the Physical address / MAC fields of the router setup screens at the direction of tech support. Tomorrow, after some rest, I may go look that stuff up. There was some other side fixes, too – installing some Palm software, removing a pesky browser hijacker, consolidating some email accounts and getting it all funneled through her new laptop’s Outlook.
I missed out on voting, but it didn’t look like I was going to make much of an impact. Proposition 1 looks to pass with about 75% of the vote, so it’s a blowout. I can’t imagine any resident of Houston (excluding city workers, of course), that wants to pay the huge tax increases necessary if Houston hadn’t opted out.
Oh, and hidden in the new family photos was a burlesque-like photo of a unnamed certain individual. If you missed it, so solly. It’s off the website, and it probably won’t make the CD-ROM, either. 🙂
