I might as well blame it on them. The flu vaccine shortage is caused primarily because flu vaccine makers don’t want to make a product with a low profit, high risk potential. They’re losing money.
People like John Edwards, with his background as a amulance chasing trial lawyer, is at the heart of this problem. We’re out of vaccines, he’s getting rich suing doctors, hospitals, and drug companies. People like John Kerry opposed a bill 3 years ago to cap damages that vaccine manufacturers have to pay.
I’m appalled at KerryEdwards hypocrasy at running ads blaming the flu shortage on Bush. Bush has increased spending on vaccine preparedness from $39 million to $283 million, and Kerry has the gall to blame it on Bush. If Kerry had not opposed capping damages, and Edwards had not gotten filthy rich off of suiing drug companies, perhaps we’d all have a flu vaccine this year.
