Chasing the Wind

News. Faith. Nonsense.

God Called Last Night

I got a phone call last night from one of God’s messengers. He told me it was time to go back to church. Even told me which church. Again.

He’s told me before, using messengers of ever-increasing impact. The last time was just last month when my next door neighbor asked me to go. I thought He was serious, but I also put God off once again.

I did add “go back to church” to my todo list though. That, I thought, was pretty close to doing His will, right? Then I postponed going back to church by rescheduling Him.

So I get a phone call last night. Same invitation. Same church.

Except this time His choice of messengers showed me how serious He was.

  1. You too? Although I haven’t been getting calls from people, I sure have been getting convicted by the Spirit. I know which Church and everything I just never seem to make it there. And the longer I wait, the stronger the conviction.

  3. Tony – go now. Don’t make God escalate the invitation to the level he did to me last night. 😛

Sean – You’re never up this early, what’s up with that? No, it wasn’t Bishop Fiorenza. I wouldn’t have recognized him. 😛 My invitation is for Second Baptist.

  5. All you folks that are on the fence, here is something to wake you up & shake you up: Mark Saturday November 20th on your calendar. Wally Wood who is a 30 year writer, author, journalist and broad castor is holding a lecture about the antichrist & the second coming. That’s not all… The part that will really make you tech junkies squirm will be the evidence that Wally presents showing the technology which the antichrist will use to doop people. He has scripture prophecy to back him up. If you dare… it’s at 7:30 p.m. at Helping Grace Church in Stafford – 10,000 W. Airport 77031 (S.w. Freeway at Murphy Rd. area). You won’t be sorry you checked this out!!!!!

About Me

Michael, a sinner saved by grace, sharing what the good Lord has shared with me.

Solomon, in the book of Ecclesiastes, said, “I have seen all the things that are done under the sun; all of them are meaningless, a chasing after the wind.”

If you’re not living for the glory of God, then what you’re doing is meaningless, no matter what it is. Living for God gives life meaning, and enjoying a “chasing after the wind” is a gift from God. I’m doing what I can to enjoy this gift daily.

Got questions? I’m not surprised. If you have any questions about Chasing the Wind, you can email me at chasingthewind@outlook.com.
