Would You Like Some Free Money?

On my way to the cafeteria this morning for coffee, I stopped at the ATM to get some cash. Another man was just finishing up; I waited 5 seconds or so and then he walked away.

Instead of the “Please insert your card,” the ATM screen said, “Would you like another transaction?” The man in front of me, now gone around the corner, hadn’t quite finished his business.

“Would you like another transaction?” Of course I pressed Yes Oh Yes Thank You Free Money! No; it was the right thing to do.

We face a little temptation every day, don’t we? 😛

Solomon, in the book of Ecclesiastes, said, “I have seen all the things that are done under the sun; all of them are meaningless, a chasing after the wind.”

If you’re not living for the glory of God, then what you’re doing is meaningless, no matter what it is. Living for God gives life meaning, and enjoying a “chasing after the wind” is a gift from God. I’m doing what I can to enjoy this gift daily.
