Academy Award Nominations

The Academy Award nominations are out.

Zero nominations for the lying, misrepresenting, sleazy Michael Moore. Zero for Falsehood 9/11. I laugh. Mwahahaha.

“The Aviator” got 11 nominations. Hmm. I hadn’t been interested in it, but it’s still at the theaters. I may have to put that one back on the list of movies to see.

Passion of the Christ has 3 nominations – for makeup, cinematography, and music. Huh. Yeah, that’s what impressed me most about the film – the makeup. I think it should have gotten a nod for foreign language film, though.

Solomon, in the book of Ecclesiastes, said, “I have seen all the things that are done under the sun; all of them are meaningless, a chasing after the wind.”

If you’re not living for the glory of God, then what you’re doing is meaningless, no matter what it is. Living for God gives life meaning, and enjoying a “chasing after the wind” is a gift from God. I’m doing what I can to enjoy this gift daily.
