Chasing the Wind

News. Faith. Nonsense.

I Can't Imagine I'm Gonna Have the Time

I’m off work today but busy with last minute preparations and family get-togethers. I can’t imagine I’m going to have any time to blog for a few days. Impending nuptials, you know. 🙂

Last night Diane’s borhter & sister came to town; tonight there’s dinner with friends, and tomorrow my mom is graciously hosting a pre-wedding dinner for us and 3o or so friends and family members. And Sunday, of course, is Our Wedding. Monday and Tuesday I’m honeymooning at home, and Wednesday I’m taking my son up to Huntsville to join the Army Reserve.

So I’m not likely to talk to you until Thursday. Till then, your prayers for a wonderful wedding weekend and lifelong renewal of our devotion to each other would be most appreciated. 🙂

About Me

Michael, a sinner saved by grace, sharing what the good Lord has shared with me.

Solomon, in the book of Ecclesiastes, said, “I have seen all the things that are done under the sun; all of them are meaningless, a chasing after the wind.”

If you’re not living for the glory of God, then what you’re doing is meaningless, no matter what it is. Living for God gives life meaning, and enjoying a “chasing after the wind” is a gift from God. I’m doing what I can to enjoy this gift daily.

Got questions? I’m not surprised. If you have any questions about Chasing the Wind, you can email me at chasingthewind@outlook.com.
