Blogging Kerfuffle

Stuff I’m not likely to blog about this week:

– The latest Harry Potter book. It sold a lot of copies apparently.

– The Karl Rove kerfuffle. Like the Tom DeLay witch-hunt of last year, it’s just partisan yelping trying to find something, anything, that’ll burn the conservatives. I think “kerfuffle” is a silly word.

– The Tour de France. I’ve never watched it. It’s a bunch of bicyclists trying to catch Lance Armstrong. I’ll read last year’s newspaper report; it’ll be the same.

– Dale Earnhardt, Jr. or his girlfriend. Seriously, I don’t have the slightest clue what’s going on with Dale.

There are a lot of other things I’m not going to blog about, but for the life of me I can’t remember what they are. Feel free to supply a list for me.

Solomon, in the book of Ecclesiastes, said, “I have seen all the things that are done under the sun; all of them are meaningless, a chasing after the wind.”

If you’re not living for the glory of God, then what you’re doing is meaningless, no matter what it is. Living for God gives life meaning, and enjoying a “chasing after the wind” is a gift from God. I’m doing what I can to enjoy this gift daily.
