Things You Like But I Don't

I can’t help it. I just don’t like them.

Popcorn. Love the smell, hate the way that little thin paper-like kernal piece covers your tooth like lamination, then slides down below the gum line. Grrrr. Drives me bonkers.

Rolling Stones. Seriously, they had one decent song, “Stairway to Heaven,” which I’ve only heard 3 million times. Mick Jagger’s high pitched noises “anh-anh-anh” make me think some pig got stuck in the farm machinery.

Nuts. Some I can tolerate – pistacchios are good, peanuts in certain Thai dishes and ice cream. The rest of the nuts are icky. I love banana bread; Ihate banana nut bread. I love green beans; I hate grean beens with almonds. Cashews? Walnuts? Macadamia? Blech. And don’t even get me started on monstrosities like pecan pie.

Any Corvette made after 1980. They were cute, sporty, racey before that. Then they started looking like something out of a comic book.

Liver and onions. Well… never mind. You probably don’t like that either.

Marshmallows. Yuck. What is that stuff? It’s like eating pillow stuffing. And then some people like to set their pillow stuffing on fire at a campsite and then eat it. There is seriously something wrong with that.

Tapioca pudding. I like chocolate, vanilla… but that tapioca has some sort of lumpy stuff in it. I don’t know what the lumps are; maybe they’re dead bugs. Or coconut which is just tapioca with a different name.

Heh. No, I’m not grumpy. I just read that Michele doesn’t like Twinkies and the Beatles and that people think she’s some sort of heretic because of it. Of course she is; everybody loves Twinkies and the Beatles. So I thought I’d rile y’all up this Monday morning by picking on stuff you like that I don’t.

Um, Michael? The Rolling Stones didn’t sing Stairway to Heaven. That was Led Zeppelin. Of course, that just means the RS didn’t have any good songs, so you have even more reason not to like them.

First you didn’t know Alexander the Great was bisexual. Now you think the Rolling Stones sang Stairway to Heaven. Sheesh. You should have gone to a Liberal Arts college. 😉

I like popcorn. Not only the smell, but also the taste. Too bad I stopped eating it. That “paper-like kernal piece” drives me insane as well. Heck, I had one of those stuck on the back of my throat for a week! …and that was the last day I ever ate popcorn…

Led Zeppelin, Rolling Stones… for all I care, they’re the same band. And the rumor about Alexander the Great was false. Danf liberal arts majors made it up. 😛

Soda of any kind
Ice Cream of any kind

Those are the two biggies

And for the record (doesn’t that sound official) LZ and the Stones are way different 😉

Wow. A complete and total hatred of all things ice cream? Somebody is going to try and burn you at the stake for that. I’d say we see it in 5-7 posts, tops.
