Cold & Flu & Sinus Information Overload

I’m still dragging myself around after recovering from yesterday’s flu, so I thought I’d run by the little overpriced sundry shop downstairs (affectionately known as “That Little Overpriced Sundry Shop Downstairs”). The choices included:

  • Tylenol Cold & Flu
  • Tylenol Allergy & Sinus
  • Tylenol Cold & Allergy & Sinus
  • Tylenol Sinus & Cold
  • Tylenol Sinus & Flu
  • Tylenol Cold, Sinus & Flu
  • Tylenol Cold, Allergy, Sinus & Flu
  • Tylenol Cold, Sinus, Spam & Flu
  • Tylenol Spam, Cold, Spam, Spam, Sinus, Flu and Spam
  • Tylenol Spam, Spam, Spam, and Spam.

And if that wasn’t enough choices, I can also get Advil instead of Tylenol, and everything comes in both Daytime and Nighttime versions.

I don’t even remember which one I picked. The number of choices gave me a headache, so I had to add that to the list of symptoms I had.

    Check the active ingredients – there are only about four that are actually used in all of those. Excepting Spam, of course.
    Just get the one with the most chemical for your dollar. Usually the Theraflu knockoff at Eckerd’s.

    Then double the dose, and knock it back with scotch.

    When (if) you wake up, you’re cured.

    I think I have all of those in my medicine cabinet! I just found an old pack of Aleve Sinus and Headache last night. That’s the only thing that works for me. I was up at 4 this morning with the worst of sinus trouble… a couple Aleve and a Tylenol PM and I was out till 10. Woke up better than ever. It could be the “extended release” too… supposed to last 12 hours. I’m sure you care.

    I can so relate! I think my medicine cabinet is just as bad. The sad thing is that each and every cold I get is different, so what worked last time won’t work the next. Grrr!

If you’re not living for the glory of God, then what you’re doing is meaningless, no matter what it is. Living for God gives life meaning, and enjoying a “chasing after the wind” is a gift from God. I’m doing what I can to enjoy this gift daily.
