If you ever think you can’t accomplish something because the odds are stacked against you, consider this painting:

Now consider that the artist, Paul Smith, has severe cerebral palsy and typed that artwork using a single finger, a primitive typewriter, using only the symbols on the top row of his keyboard, ” @ # $ % ^ & * ( ) _ “.

You can see a sample of Paul Smith’s gallery and read his story. Paul credits all he has to serving God and others (he once quipped, “I am a self-made man, but I goofed.”)

So don’t tell me you can’t do it.

Solomon, in the book of Ecclesiastes, said, “I have seen all the things that are done under the sun; all of them are meaningless, a chasing after the wind.”

If you’re not living for the glory of God, then what you’re doing is meaningless, no matter what it is. Living for God gives life meaning, and enjoying a “chasing after the wind” is a gift from God. I’m doing what I can to enjoy this gift daily.
