The Five Love Languages

Posted on May 11, 2007. Filed under: Fun Stuff | Tags: , |

Ruh-roh. I saw this quiz over at Spin the Moon, and I already know I’m in trouble. I’m 99% sure my wife’s love language is “Acts of Service.” I’m pretty mine isn’t. Funny how God does that – I’m learning to be a better servant.

Ok, enough preamble. Let’s go take the quiz -

I feel loved when…
The Five Love Languages
My Primary Love Language is
Words of Affirmation

My Detailed Results:
Words of Affirmation: 11
Physical Touch: 9
Quality Time: 6
Receiving Gifts: 3
Acts of Service: 1

About this quiz

Unhappiness in relationships is often due to the fact that we speak different love languages. It can be helpful to know what language you speak and what language those around you speak.

Tag 3 people so they can find out what their love language is.

Take the Quiz!

Eww. That wasn’t pretty. What’s your love language?

I’m afraid to ask my wife to take the test. :)

C’mon, Steve! I wanna see!

I’m pretty sure all spouses are exact opposites. We compliment each other and grow that way. :)

I am coming up on 20 years of marriage. (Well, 19, but it only seems like …. 30).

Through years of mutual love, caring, support and understanding with my loving soul-mate, I have learned a few things. One of the most important is to let sleeping dogs lie.

No test for me thanks.

OK, I had the wife take the test. We were the same. Line for line. :)
And before you say it, I did not coach her, I left the room while she did it.

Great book. Been married 16 years and have a happy marriage that was made even better after we took the test and talked about it (it revealed a few surprises, too, so don’t think because you’ve been married a long time this book can’t make a difference). In fact, we’ve talked & grown even closer in the past week. AWESOME book. I know a good pastor who counsels couples using this book (pre and post marriage). Now I know why.

LK, nice to know you’re still finding surprises after 16 years. :)
