Liberal Media Bias Yet Again

Posted on July 31, 2004. Filed under: General | Tags: , |

Here’s the headline: Some Republicans Defect to Kerry’s Camp followed by sample stories to justify the headline. Then comes this confession toward the end: Clay Richards, assistant director of the Polling Institute at Quinnipiac University in Connecticut, says Kerry is getting about 11 or 12 percent of the Republican vote in Pennsylvania and New Jersey [...]

Democrats vs Republicans

Posted on July 31, 2004. Filed under: General | Tags: , , , , , , |

SondaK knows exactly what is wrong with the Democrats. Question: How do you tell the difference between Democrats, Republicans and Southern Republicans? The answer can be found by posing the following question: You’re walking down a deserted street with your wife/husband and two small children. Suddenly, a dangerous looking man with a huge knife comes [...]

And Then the Marines Excused Themselves to Wash Their Hands

Posted on July 31, 2004. Filed under: General |

John Kerry would get a better reception if he stuck with liberal venues, but he won’t get elected that way. So he’s trying to mingle up with middle-of-the-road people, independents… and maybe a few photo ops with some soldiers when he can. Actually, considering the photo ops with military folk aren’t going well, perhaps he [...]

Moore Fakes a Headline

Posted on July 31, 2004. Filed under: Politics | Tags: |

Michael Moore wanted to make a point in his F***9/11 movie that Bush stole the election, so he put a newspaper headline in there from The Pantagraph, a Bloomington, IL newspaper, that says “Latest Florida recount shows Gore won election.” The only trouble is, that was never a headline. It was a letter to the [...]

Higher Paying Jobs

Posted on July 30, 2004. Filed under: Politics | Tags: , , , , , , , , |

I had a conversation with a good neighbor and friend tonight, and one of the topics was job growth. Here in Houston, the job market has been terrible, and it’s apparent some jobs in some industries are not coming back. But I think this is looking at the economy through a pinhole – the US [...]

Chronicle Having Trouble Praising Kerry

Posted on July 30, 2004. Filed under: Politics | Tags: , , , , , , , |

In an unsigned editorial this morning, the Chronicle praises John Kerry’s speech last night. Kerry’s promises were especially appealing: Whatever shortcomings Kerry’s well-crafted speech might have had, it contained no shortage of promises. Fulfilling even one — providing universal and affordable health care — would make Kerry a success where Bill and Hillary Clinton failed. [...]

How Many Positions Does John Kerry Have About the War?

Posted on July 29, 2004. Filed under: Politics |

Why, all of them, of course. RNC Chairman Ed Gillespie has put together a video clip of John Kerry’s 2001 position where Saddam was a dangerous thug and the US must disarm him by force, to his voting for the war, to his voting against the funding for the war, to sort of being against [...]

USAToday: "I DON'T GET IT"

Posted on July 29, 2004. Filed under: Politics | Tags: , , , |

USAToday tried to think outside the box, but it didn’t last long. They hired right-winger Ann Coulter to cover the Democrats, and Michael Moore *shudder* to cover the Democrats. Ann Coulter went first, wrote a scathing, sarcastic, classic Coulter article. USA Today basically said, “I DON’T GET IT IS THIS SUPPOSED TO BE FUNNY” and [...]
