Chasing the Wind

News. Faith. Nonsense.

This would be a great day to rant…

… but I’m too busy. This weekend I’m fortunate to host my entire extended family’s visit for my son’s graduation, and today there is insufficient bedding, food, towels, etc. Tomorrow I shall be shopping, so today I have to develop a list of stuff. Patch gets to spend the day tomorrow at the groomers getting all prettied up and foo-foo’d while I shop. Graduation gifts to finish, sleeping arrangements, fix 2 leaking sinks..

I’d also like to rant about Al Gore’s anti-American speech to MoveOn PAC yesterday, but I don’t have time. Suffice it to say I think he’s well into hate-speech territory now.
“PULL MY FINGER!”

Right Wing News has a nice recap, though, so just pretend I ranted every bit as eloquently.

…If only we could transfer the towering hate and rage left-wingers like Al Gore & Howard Dean feel towards Republicans to the terrorists who want to kill us all, our country would be better off.

But instead, most people on the American left seem to be totally apathetic about terrorists. Read most left-wing blogs, peruse the columns of famous leftie columnists, hell, listen to people like Ted Kennedy, Nancy Pelosi, and “Baghdad” Jim McDermott and you’ll find terrorism is little more than another political issue to them. Other than a few oft noted exceptions like Christopher Hitchens and Joe Lieberman, the average left-wingers only bring up the war on terrorism when they want to…

1) Talk about how opposed they are to it.
2) Use it to attack America.
3) Try to pin something on George Bush and the GOP.

I’d like to rant, too, but I’m trying to decide if I have enough blankets and towels for the weekend.

About Me

Michael, a sinner saved by grace, sharing what the good Lord has shared with me.

Solomon, in the book of Ecclesiastes, said, “I have seen all the things that are done under the sun; all of them are meaningless, a chasing after the wind.”

If you’re not living for the glory of God, then what you’re doing is meaningless, no matter what it is. Living for God gives life meaning, and enjoying a “chasing after the wind” is a gift from God. I’m doing what I can to enjoy this gift daily.

Got questions? I’m not surprised. If you have any questions about Chasing the Wind, you can email me at chasingthewind@outlook.com.
