No Camera Trade Today

I stopped by the Houston Camera Exchange and they gave me the bad news – around December, people stopped buying film cameras. Completely. They offered me $20 for my Minolta 400si. $20 for this?
Minolta 400siBah. I’d rather get $20 fun out of running over it with a truck.

I looked a digital cameras for a while, but I decided to do some research first. The three I looked at were the Sony T1, the Minolta Z2, and the Olympus C765. I decided since I wasn’t getting the credit on the old film camera, I’d just come home and do some research.

Gadzooks. I checked out Digital Photography Review. Do you have any idea how many cameras are out there? I think Cannon makes 100 or more. It’s gonna take me weeks to buy a new camera.

  1. I LOVE My HP 3.3…It was priced about mid range ($340?) and it’s AWESOME. I am sooo happy with it. Every pic on my site was taken with it. If you’re innerested I’ll look up more of the specs. It’s prolly cheaper now, I bought it about a year ago…
Don’t get rid of your camera. I still have my Pentax manual and my instamatic….the manual Pentax is cool for artsy stuff…

  2. I’ve decided to keep it, though I suspect I’ll never use it. At the wedding last night, I talked at length with the wedding photographer and drooled over his 12 megapixel $5000 digital Fuji camera.
