This Afternoon's Traffic Report…

Since I’ve been blogging in mid-April, I’ve logged 1800 hits here; that’s the number of unique people visiting daily.

There have been 500 hits since lunch. Gadzooks. From the referrers, it appears it’s not a single site coming here, but a smattering from several sources. Chasing the Wind was mentioned in Chronically Biased today for the rant against the Houston Chronicle, lots of people trying to figure out how to download Michael Moore’s F*** 911 movie for free, and the usual people trying to find Kingdom of Loathing information.

A couple of people looking for information on the Spiderman movie, about John Kerry’s stance on crossing picket lines, something called “steiner leisure complaints”… and trying to find information on watermellon carving.

Watermellon carving? Must be something in the air today. Mushroom spores, maybe. Whatever it is, welcome to all the new visitors. 🙂

Solomon, in the book of Ecclesiastes, said, “I have seen all the things that are done under the sun; all of them are meaningless, a chasing after the wind.”

If you’re not living for the glory of God, then what you’re doing is meaningless, no matter what it is. Living for God gives life meaning, and enjoying a “chasing after the wind” is a gift from God. I’m doing what I can to enjoy this gift daily.
