Liberal Media Bias Yet Again

Here’s the headline:

Some Republicans Defect to Kerry’s Camp

followed by sample stories to justify the headline. Then comes this confession toward the end:

Clay Richards, assistant director of the Polling Institute at Quinnipiac University in Connecticut, says Kerry is getting about 11 or 12 percent of the Republican vote in Pennsylvania and New Jersey while Bush is drawing 9 or 10 percent of his support from Democrats, not a statistically significant crossover.

In other words, just as many Democrats are going to vote for Bush. So why doesn’t the headline say that?

  1. Even though the crossover equals out in the end that headline is nothing but media hype – – why couldn’t it have been “Poll Shows Equal Crossover Between Parties” – – or something like that? That’s right, it would be boring and no one would read it especially those crazy libs who probably ate the whole thing up and didn’t take a moment to see it equals out

  2. Do the newspapers even bother trying to say they’re non-partisan? Like CNN had a poll that showed *Bush* got a 5 point bump in the polls after the Democratic National Convention. The CNN headline said, “No Bump for Kerry Yet.”

Yet? Maybe they could have another convention.

  3. I kept waiting for them to answer “how.” They’re going to make the country stronger, safer, healthier, and did we say stronger blah blah blah.
