My son dropped in yesterday afternoon. I didn’t raise no dummy – he had 3 loads of laundry that cost 75 cents each. He’ll spend $10 in gas to save 75 cents – but it’s my credit card paying for gas. Heh. I don’t mind; I thought he grew up quickly when he was young, but he may be growing as fast as ever during his first semester of college.
Part of his car was falling off – I don’t know what you call it; a gravel shield maybe. Big plastic piece under his engine was dragging and needed to be replaced, so this morning we went for pancakes and dropped it off at the dealership. Now he’s on the road back to school – of all things, he says he has homework due next week that he wants to go work on. Either a) it’s really a girl / party / something else he wants to get back to, b) aliens have kidnapped my son and replaced him with a lookalike, or c) he’s really growing up and committed to doing well at college. It really looks like c) from here.
Off-topic: I expected more comments lately, especially on my “Jerry Springer” style dating thing this week, but I know Chasing the Wind is having some sort of siezure. So far, no help from the WordPress people. Something is overwriting a ‘siteurl’ variable that just hoses the whole blog, and it stays hosed until I manually reset it. I’m almost ready to pitch this software and pay money for something with reliability and tech support.
