I am going to Huntsville today (4 hour round trip) to change a car battery because:
A) I don’t have a battery locally that I can change;
B) There is a battery changing festival in Huntsville;
C) My son has run out of clean underwear;
D) I want to listen to 4 hours of country music.
Take your best guess; I’ll supply the answer when I get back.
The correct answer, of course, was C) My son has run out of clean underwear.

I never miss the Huntsville Battery-Changing Festival. I used to love the competitions until that whole steroids scandal back in ’99.

True. It was rather sad to see the Champ fall like that, but I still find the Festival to be fun. There’s nothing like the Motor-Oil Balloon fight, either.

I’d pay good money to see a motor oil balloon fight between people pumped up on steroids. Unless that’s already on reality t.v.

Michael, a sinner saved by grace, sharing what the good Lord has shared with me.
Solomon, in the book of Ecclesiastes, said, “I have seen all the things that are done under the sun; all of them are meaningless, a chasing after the wind.”
If you’re not living for the glory of God, then what you’re doing is meaningless, no matter what it is. Living for God gives life meaning, and enjoying a “chasing after the wind” is a gift from God. I’m doing what I can to enjoy this gift daily.
