How much would you pay for a 10-year old grilled cheese sandwich with a bite taking out of it?

MIAMI (Reuters) – An online casino won the eBay bidding for a decade-old cheese sandwich bearing what some people consider a likeness of the Virgin Mary and immediately began hawking Virgin Mary Grilled Cheese T-shirts.
GoldenPalace.com’s bid of $28,000 was the highest offer for the sandwich when bidding closed late on Monday, the Internet casino’s Web site said.
No doubt this gambling website has already recouped their $28,000 with all the free publicity.
By the way, if your personal plan for the salvation of your immortal soul involves a grilled cheese sandwich from an online casino, we need to talk.

How dare you doubt the miracle toast.
If you read the lady’s account on eBay you would have seen that she won around $70 000 at a local casino while she had the toast in her home. Surely God wants us all to go and gamble right now. The fact that an online casino made the winning bid would tend to back that up.
“Verily, verily I say unto you, unless a man grills a cheese sandwich, he shall not partake of the jackpot. Nor will he enter into the halls of the poker machines.”
To be truthful, I think she may have got the ‘Marys’ mixed up. I think it could be an image of Cameron Diaz reprising her role of Mary in ‘There’s Something About Mary.’

I need to figure out how to make food with the Virgins image. I was thinking about spaghetti, but then that wouldn’t mail very well. Perhaps a cookie with chocolate chips that “fall” into strategic places?!?!

Sean & Jo – if the TV networks were smart, that would be a Desperate Housewife.
Onelamb – keep working with the spaghetti. There’s a lot of potential there. 🙂
And Rodney, that was the funniest thing I’ve read in a long time. 🙂
