I don’t know if they called it a Holiday Tree or a Christmas Tree, but either way, it’s gone. Since it was decorated with non-religious ornaments, I’m guessing it was a Holiday Tree. Here’s a picture of the actual tree so you can see for yourself.
In any event, it’s been removed to “make sure no one is offended.” It’s been replaced with a snowman, reindeer and sleigh.
This is confusing to me because a decorated tree by itself isn’t religious. The Three Wise Men didn’t bring ornaments for the tree when Jesus was born, as far as I know. The origins of the modern “Christmas” tree have German, pagan roots, I believe. If you call it a Holiday Tree and decorate it with snowflakes and stuff, exactly who is being offended? And why would a tree offend somebody but a snowman is ok?
