Miss Vox has a detailed review of King Kong. I haven’t seen the movie, though it’s on my short list. A couple of comments I thought I’d make here to give me an excuse to ping her –

• Why don’t movies have intermissions anymore? This movie cries out for one.
• Jurassic Park was probably every bit as scary and I took my young son. I prepped him for it ahead of time, saying that it was just like video game graphics. The first time he jumped, I whispered, “Wow, they make those video game graphics look real, don’t they?”
• That didn’t work, of course. He was traumatized.
• Just kidding.
• I bet this ping doesn’t work automatically, dang it.
